I colored it. I tweaked it. I took Photoshop and made something new.
I can see the influence of all those artists I check out in Juxtapoz creeping in. The style of the ooze tells me so.
I drew the original with an overriding sense of feeling behind it; It wasn’t done with me so it’s still riding.

This jacket got me going. I loved the material. Chanel does that a lot, those jackets with texture texture texture. And being from AK, I am usually aware of the warmth factor.
As well as the Brussels Griffon as your heels. Which, I designed. Holla at yo’ shoes.
Working in the same vein of a thicker fabric, the base of this dress in similiar to this nicely textured jacket I picked up at a flea market in Amsterdam. Good times there, and good falafel.
The shoes are inspired by Muiccia Prada, what she did a few seasons ago with a regular staple design, and mixed it up a bit.
I got inspired by this Chanel jacket, and the material. That will show up later. But I had the material in mind for the base of the vest. I’ll be adding color before too long, but these are the line drawings. Well, this is the first one.
The top one I call the ‘Pixie’ stencil. It came from a previous stencil I worked up, which originally came from an image of a small child I found in a National Geographic magazine.
The second is my nephew, Fischer. I put it on a shirt for him, and he wears it.
The third is this amazing face on a woman of native Mexican heritage. She had the coolest lines. I’ve used it both on clothing and canvases, hence the leftover pink spray paint.
I did this a year ago. After all that talk of the Secret and hoo-bah. That the whole universe is aligned to help us have what we want. I believe that. Just be clear and go for it. And keep going for it.
Stencils can be strong or delicate. I like the ones that don’t always last, leaving the outcomes original.
But then, I like the ones that have stuck around, creating a language of symbols to refer to again and again.
