I’ve got a new page for Sketches… lotsa characters and the human body in motion. I’ve been creating different characters and stories since I was 3. I thought I was just into superheroes for a long time, being so heavily influenced by comics, but no. The design of costumes, the lines and energy on a page; it’s much more for me than buff chicks and dudes beating each other up in cool ways.

Some phoenix mythologies talk of the soul's hierarchy in terms of birds. The eagle being our pinnacle, the phoenix right below, constantly burning and dying and rebirthing in order to find itself born eagle.
Since 2000, and my first public art show, I've used the Phoenix as a rallying cry for myself to take hold of what I want and keep 'rebirthing' until I get it. After eight years, it was time to consciously move on up. Hey - I'm goin' eagle.
