Eat Lunch

Yeah, these were good days.  Hella work, too.  I think the top image had different colors for the lettering upon publishing…

Back in ’05 I started a thing called Bag Lunch, an online culture / arts / fashion / anchorage / world zine.  It was a hit, simply put, with 10,000 hits its first month out of the gate.  It was also a short run (sad), but that run afforded me the opportunity to work with some really great people and gain experience that Anchorage was able to provide, like a training ground for the big time out there (happy).  I’ll be posting some images in the coming weeks from that run, as well as some images that haven’t seen until now.  Enjoy.

About Benjamin Allen Ellis

Some phoenix mythologies talk of the soul's hierarchy in terms of birds. The eagle being our pinnacle, the phoenix right below, constantly burning and dying and rebirthing in order to find itself born eagle. Since 2000, and my first public art show, I've used the Phoenix as a rallying cry for myself to take hold of what I want and keep 'rebirthing' until I get it. After eight years, it was time to consciously move on up. Hey - I'm goin' eagle.
