Beyond Boundaries Show this Friday

This Friday is my first showing for the East Bay.  At least for art, I’ve managed to get onstage for a dance performance at UC East Bay and sell some of my ‘grass-roots’ t’s.

The show is sponsored by the Greenlining Institute.  It’s a community event, and is serving up pieces by 39 local artists.  There over 250 pieces submitted, glad a couple of mine made the cut.  The fine folks at Greenlining are all about empowering minority groups through multi-ethnic economic and leadership development, civil rights, and anti-redlining activities. The show is held in Berkely, I’m stoked.

About Benjamin Allen Ellis

Some phoenix mythologies talk of the soul's hierarchy in terms of birds. The eagle being our pinnacle, the phoenix right below, constantly burning and dying and rebirthing in order to find itself born eagle. Since 2000, and my first public art show, I've used the Phoenix as a rallying cry for myself to take hold of what I want and keep 'rebirthing' until I get it. After eight years, it was time to consciously move on up. Hey - I'm goin' eagle.
