I love, love, love this place. It’s woods growing out of black sand dunes. It’s more. I’ve camped there three or four times… I mean I really love this place, memories now bring me to a gushing point, but if I gush it ruins it.
So I’ll just say, I love, love, love this place.

About Benjamin Allen Ellis
Some phoenix mythologies talk of the soul's hierarchy in terms of birds. The eagle being our pinnacle, the phoenix right below, constantly burning and dying and rebirthing in order to find itself born eagle.
Since 2000, and my first public art show, I've used the Phoenix as a rallying cry for myself to take hold of what I want and keep 'rebirthing' until I get it. After eight years, it was time to consciously move on up. Hey - I'm goin' eagle.
