I got inspired by some of the looks Rick Owens was showing these past few seasons, kilts with slacks… they’re enough to get a man airborne…
I sit in the corner with my pad and pens; it’s doing me good to just create without an endpoint in mind. Just do, no need to think it so through. End with a ‘yo.’

Some phoenix mythologies talk of the soul's hierarchy in terms of birds. The eagle being our pinnacle, the phoenix right below, constantly burning and dying and rebirthing in order to find itself born eagle.
Since 2000, and my first public art show, I've used the Phoenix as a rallying cry for myself to take hold of what I want and keep 'rebirthing' until I get it. After eight years, it was time to consciously move on up. Hey - I'm goin' eagle.
