Let’s Pack ‘Em In

This Saturday is our grand opening, or Inauguración.  I’ve yet  to master the pronunciation of that word.  But I can get the idea across.  Visually, at least.  Click on the images to enlarge them…

Robert is showing some of his work.  It will be up the whole month of January.  I’m stoked on this, the walls need some art.

‘Roberto’ has been hard at work, everyday taking photographs.  I’m impressed, it’s good to be around another hard working, smart artist.  His pictures of Santuario bring out the color of this place, and I think that it will be a new way for the townspeople to see their home.  They’ve got a lovely place here.

My own work has been a bit circumvented by circumstance lately.  I am so ready to get back to my canvases.  Let alone the big blank wall I have ready for me to paint on.  I’ve made so many sketches for the mural, and my inspiration has taken different forms.  Gestation period, I guess… I am anxious to get to flying.  Cheers.

About Benjamin Allen Ellis

Some phoenix mythologies talk of the soul's hierarchy in terms of birds. The eagle being our pinnacle, the phoenix right below, constantly burning and dying and rebirthing in order to find itself born eagle. Since 2000, and my first public art show, I've used the Phoenix as a rallying cry for myself to take hold of what I want and keep 'rebirthing' until I get it. After eight years, it was time to consciously move on up. Hey - I'm goin' eagle.
