Folsom Lake Dance

Back around June of 09, Hector and I were invited to participate in a little experiment.  It was a blend of dance theatre and photography in a natural setting.  Very natural, as all 20 (0r so) of us were nude.

I just got the photo’s from said shoot, and I am pleased with the results.  I had my reservations, during and after, but having seen the shots, bravo.  I’m glad I participated.

We shot at Folsom Lake, which is out near Sacramento.  I’m posting one of my favourite shots below; don’t worry...  it’s safe for work and any eyes that may want to see.

About Benjamin Allen Ellis

Some phoenix mythologies talk of the soul's hierarchy in terms of birds. The eagle being our pinnacle, the phoenix right below, constantly burning and dying and rebirthing in order to find itself born eagle. Since 2000, and my first public art show, I've used the Phoenix as a rallying cry for myself to take hold of what I want and keep 'rebirthing' until I get it. After eight years, it was time to consciously move on up. Hey - I'm goin' eagle.

Outstanding. The photographer that does my nude shots, Marcia Pereira, talks about the critical first 10 minutes to get over when one first is nude. The rest is pure joy, including the shots to enjoy and share! Dance on, my friends!
